Diatomaceous Earth is made from fossilized aquatic algae-like plants called diatoms, usually mined and then ground into a fine powder.
The powder can be used as a natural, mineral based pesticide (dries out insects) – a safer alternative to chemical pesticides. Effective pest control for ants, ticks, fleas, crickets, and any other crawling small bug. When the bug walks thru the powder, it attaches itself to their legs and eventually makes them immovable.
Safe for garden and home use – however care should be taken when applying to not inhale any dust generated.
For cosmetic use, Diatomaceous Earth Clay is an anti-caking agent and highly absorbent. It’s also an opacifying agent, meaning it “hides” or lightens the appearance of blemishes when used in cosmetics. This makes it a handy addition for any facial powder or product designed to “cover up.”
