Oxy-Boost is a safe and effective alternative to chlorine based products and it can be used in many applications in and around the home. It is based on sodium percarbonate, which uses oxygen for destaining and deodorizing.

Safe for most all colorfast colors but spot test first to make certain! Below are a few of the most common instructions and recipes for use.

Laundry Use

Laundry

Laundry:
Removes tough stains like berries, wine, grass, juice, and more! Safe and effective in all water temperatures, but MOST effective in hot water. Recommended amounts for laundry: 
Use as pre-soak:
For heavily stained garments use 4oz per gallon of HOT water and soak overnight.

Amount for washing machine:
Light soil: 1 oz (2 Tbsp) per load
Moderate soil: 2 oz (4 Tbsp) per load
Heavy soil: 4-6 oz (1/2 to 3/4 cup) per load

Warmer water and longer soaking will get better results!

Kitchen

Food encrusted pots and pans: 
– Sprinkle 1-2 Tbsp in dirty pots and pans, add 1/4 tsp dish detergent and hot water, let soak for 5-10 minutes and clean easily.
– Clean dried on food and beverages from glasses and dishes by soaking in 3-5 Tbsp of oxy-boost and 1/2 tsp of dish detergent per sink full of warm to hot water, soak dishes and glasses for 15-30 minutes for best results.

Carpets + Upholstery

Carpets (not wool):
– Spot stain removal: dissolve 1 oz of ecogeeks oxy-boost in one quart of hot water. Using spray bottle or other applicator apply solution to stain until saturated and allow to soak for 15 minutes, blot clean with cloth or sponge.
– Carpet cleaner machine: dissolve 4 oz of ecogeeks oxy-boost in bucket with 1 gallon hot water, add to machine with cleaning solution.

Upholstery:
Dissolve 1 oz of ecogeeks oxy-boost per quart of hot water, spray on stain, scrub in and allow to sit for at least 15 minutes. Blot with damp towel or sponge.

Bathroom

– Grout cleaner and tub scrub: simply make a paste of oxy-boost powder, a few drops of dish soap and hot water, apply and let sit for 1-2 hours then rinse.
– Soak shower curtain or bathmat with 3oz of oxy-boost, soak minimum 3 hours or overnight.
– Clean toilet with 2oz of ecogeeks oxy-boost, scrub and let sit for 30 minutes then flush.

Pets

– To clean “accidents”, prepare a solution of 3oz oxygen bleach to one gallon hot water.
– Apply directly to surface or litter box and soak for at least 20 minutes.
