Important warning: Wintergreen essential oil naturally contains high levels of methyl salicylate, commonly used in topical analgesics intended to relieve muscle pain and should not be handled by children. Do not use on wounds or damaged skin. Ask a doctor before use if you have redness over the affected area. When using this product avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes – do not bandage tightly.
Keep out of reach of children to avoid accidental ingestion. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Before using perform a small patch test on your inner forearm or back. Apply a small quantity of diluted essential oil and cover with a bandage. If you experience any irritation use carrier oil or cream to further dilute the essential oil, and then wash with soap and water. If no irritation occurs after 48 hours it is safe to use on your skin.
