HOW TO COOK BENTILIA’S LENTIL AND BEAN PASTA
There are so many ways to enjoy our Gluten-Free Pasta.
When cooking any pasta you should always use a medium pot with 2 cups of water per cup of pasta.
Bring water to a boil and add salt if desired. Beans and lentils have a natural salty taste and at Bentilia we prefer to keep that taste intact, so we add salt to balance off the effects of dilution from water. We use 1/2 tbs per 2 cups of water.
Add pasta and when the water boils again, reduce the heat in order to avoid spill over. Stir occasionally. Beans and lentils pasta tends to create more foam than traditional wheat pasta.
times may vary. Start by checking the pasta after 8 minutes by grabbing a noodle and taste it. Add a minute more and check again until you find your preferred texture.
Once cooked, drain and rinse off well with cold water.
