OVERVIEW
Our organic and fair trade Darjeeling tea is an Autumnal flush from a richly biodiverse and naturally forested tea garden in the steep mountains of Northern India. This tea is favored for its indulgent flavor and complex characteristics. The name Darjeeling means Land of the Thunderbolt, which originates from the Tibetan words Dorje, meaning thunderbolt, and Ling, meaning place or land. The first commercial tea plantations in Darjeeling were established in the 1850s, as the tea plants flourished in the local terroir.
AROMA AND FLAVOR
An earthy and floral aroma complements the full-bodied flavor. Notes of grapes and a mild astringency brews a delicious cup alone, however, a little sweetener helps bring out the fruit flavors.
BREW INSTRUCTIONS
Add 1 teaspoon of tea in a mesh strainer or cloth tea bag and place in your favorite mug. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes.
