A complete low-waste dishwashing system, reviewed ingredient by ingredient. We screen for petroleum and palm pathways, skip SLS, SLES, phosphates, dyes, optical brighteners, and synthetic fragrance, and treat foam as marketing, not cleaning.

• 1. Pick your soapRefillable liquid. Plant-oil soap by weight in a closed-loop bulk system. Put it straight on your sponge, not in a sink of water: it is concentrated, so a little on the tool goes further than a squeeze in the suds.Dish block. A solid concentrate. Rub a wet brush or sponge across the bar for instant foam, or swipe it over a strainer to fill a bowl with suds. Also refillable by weight, unscented.Plant-oil bars. Traditional saponified coconut oil with soapberry, shikakai + tamarind: recognizable plant ingredients, minimal packaging.Dishwasher powder. Loose powder refilled by weight: no pods, no dissolvable plastic film, unscented. Hand dish soap never goes in the machine.
• About the foamLess foam, same clean. Conventional dish soap foams because petroleum foam boosters are cheap, not because foam cleans. Ours suds gently and rinses cleaner off your plates.Fragrance is not clean. A scent left on your dishes is residue. Unscented is the default here; scented versions use one named essential oil.No antibacterial additives. Washing and rinsing remove germs from dishes. Antibacterial dish soap adds exposure, not benefit.
• 2. Match the tool to the surfaceDelicate + everyday. Cellulose, loofah, and plant-fiber sponges, Swedish dishcloths, and washable cotton + linen.Baked-on + cast iron. Copper scrubbers and chain mail, for tough metal only: keep them off nonstick and delicate glaze.Bottles + straws. Bottle, growler, and straw brushes sized to actually reach the bottom.Replaceable heads. Dish brushes where the worn head pops off and the handle lives on. Handles and heads come in two sizes: the shelf tag shows a green Size A or a blue Size B, and you just match the letter on the head to the letter on your handle.
• Keep it all workingDry between uses. Stands, racks, and drainage extend the life of every bar, brush, and sponge.Gloves. Fair-trade natural rubber instead of vinyl or nitrile. Natural latex: check the label first if you have a latex allergy.Wood + bamboo oil. A food-contact-appropriate finishing oil keeps wooden tools from drying out. No petroleum mineral oil.
