These straws arrive from the manufacturer bundled inside an outer plastic bag. As a plastic-free store, we remove this packaging before it reaches the shelf and responsibly recycle it through Omaha’s specialty plastics recycling program. This is not an ideal upstream solution. We accept this tradeoff here with the understanding that long-term reuse replaces a significant amount of single-use plastic.
