Jojoba Oil is a cold-pressed, unrefined liquid wax with a rich golden color and a smooth, fast-absorbing feel. Pressed from Simmondsia chinensis seeds, it is technically a liquid wax, not a true oil. This structure closely resembles human sebum, which is why it absorbs easily and leaves skin and hair soft without a heavy or greasy finish.
Because of this natural compatibility with skin, jojoba is a go-to for simple routines and custom blends. It layers easily, works across a wide range of skin types, and helps maintain a balanced feel.
Common Uses:
- Face and body moisturizer. Non-comedogenic, lightweight and fast absorbing.
- Makeup remover and shaver oil
- Hair, beard, brow, and lash oil for light shine
- Carrier oil for blends, serums, balms, and soap (typically 1–10%)
Desert-grown sustainability: Jojoba is a hardy evergreen shrub native to the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, California, and northern Mexico. Its drought-tolerant nature has made it a water-wise crop now cultivated commercially in the U.S. Southwest as well as in Argentina, Israel, and Australia. Our current batch is cold-pressed in Argentina, but the same sustainable, low-water methods are used by American growers, making jojoba one of the few beauty oils that can be produced domestically.
Ingredient: 100 % pure organic jojoba seed oil, never cut or refined.
