An exfoliating ayate washcloth made from 100% natural agave fiber. Hand-woven in Mexico, this 12 x 10 inch cloth offers a textured cleanse for face and body while remaining fully biodegradable at end of life.
Ayate is a traditional agave textile, woven flat rather than formed from twisted rope fiber. That construction creates an even, flexible surface that exfoliates without feeling sharply abrasive. The naturally coarse texture helps lift away buildup and dry skin, leaving skin feeling refreshed and smooth.
Unlike many exfoliating pads that blend synthetic threads or binding, this cloth is made entirely from natural agave fiber. No synthetic fibers, no dyes, no phthalates, no BPA, and no formaldehyde-based components. Vegan-friendly and not tested on animals.
The open weave allows airflow for faster drying compared to dense sponges or terry cloth. Hang between uses to extend its life. It can also be washed to refresh and prolong use.
While we also carry traditional sisal exfoliating tools, ayate stands out for its woven textile feel and flexibility. It offers a different tactile experience, structured yet adaptable, making it especially versatile for both body care and light kitchen scrubbing.
