usage notes: HIGHLY TOXIC IF INGESTED. Wintergreen is 96-99% methyl salicylate, similar to concentrated aspirin. Never ingest under any circumstance. Diffuser: 1-2 drops maximum in a well-ventilated room. Dilute to 0.5% or less for skin; many aromatherapy references advise against topical use altogether. Keep strictly away from children, pets, and anyone on blood thinners.
Wintergreen essential oil naturally contains high levels of methyl salicylate, commonly used in topical analgesics intended to relieve muscle pain and should not be handled by children. Do not use on wounds or damaged skin. Ask a doctor before use if you have redness over the affected area. When using this product avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes - do not bandage tightly.
