A durable, sharpenable alternative to liquid highlighters, designed for clean, controlled highlighting without solvent-based inks, strong odors, or felt tips that dry out. These pencils deliver bright color, sharpen to a precise edge, and will not bleed through thin paper, making them well suited for studying, planning, and everyday note-taking.
Unlike traditional highlighters that rely on ink reservoirs and synthetic felt tips, highlighter pencils last far longer over their usable life. There are no caps to lose, no ink to evaporate, and no markers to discard once they dry up.
The outer casing uses FSC-certified beech wood. As with most modern pencils, including standard graphite, colored, and specialty pencils, the casing and core may include stabilizers or binders to improve durability, consistency, and sharpening performance. Exact material formulations are not fully disclosed by the manufacturer.
Out of an abundance of caution, we recommend placing sharpening shavings in the trash rather than compost.
Even with this consideration, these pencils avoid the plastic bodies, liquid inks, and disposable felt tips found in conventional highlighters, resulting in fewer discarded items over time and a longer-lasting tool overall.
