Brush with Bamboo was founded to address the global plastic pollution crisis and was the first company to introduce a commercially available bamboo toothbrush in 2011. In 2014, they launched the first toothbrush made with plant-based bristles, and in 2018 introduced the first toothbrush with USDA Certified 100% biobased bristles paired with an FSC certified bamboo handle.

While best known for bamboo toothbrushes, the company also manufactures thoughtfully designed personal care tools including hairbrushes made with FSC bamboo handles, bamboo pins, and natural rubber bases. Material selection is central to their design process, prioritizing renewable, plant-based inputs over petroleum-based plastics commonly used by competitors.

Their toothbrush bristles are USDA Certified 100% Biobased, meaning they are derived from non-fossil fuel sources. Bamboo handles are made from FSC certified Moso bamboo harvested from responsibly managed forests.

Packaging is plastic free and paper based.
