Origin: USA
Mugwort is an aromatic herb with silvery green leaves and a resinous, slightly bitter scent. It has a long history of use in food, cultural practices, and seasonal rituals. When brewed, it produces an earthy, sage-like tea, and the dried herb is often used in incense, sachets, vinegars, or herbal blends.
Historically, mugwort flavored early European beers before hops and appears in traditional dishes and foraged cooking. In folklore, it’s commonly associated with nighttime and dream-related rituals, where it was placed near the bed or used in pillows.
CAUTION: AVOID DURING PREGNANCY. Traditional emmenagogue with well-documented miscarriage induction. Avoid while nursing or trying to conceive. Strong cross-reactivity with ragweed, daisy, or chamomile allergies — stop use if itching, swelling, or breathing difficulty develop.
Brew as an herbal tea, burn as incense, add to botanical vinegars, create dream pillows, or incorporate into seasonal blends.
