Dandelion Root, Roasted
$3.00 / oz (~$1/Tbsp)
Digestive bitter for before or after meals. Traditionally valued for urinary and skin health
Organic + Kosher
Origin: China
Roasted dandelion root has a deep, toasted flavor with hints of caramelized bitterness. This darker roast transforms the raw root’s earthy qualities into something richer and more robust, making it a popular base for herbal coffee style blends.
The roasting process creates warm, nutty aromatics while keeping the characteristic bitters that dandelion is known for. Brewed on its own or mixed with chicory, cacao shells, or other roots, it produces a smooth, caffeine free cup that is surprisingly satisfying.
Simmer as a roasted root decoction or brew in herbal coffee blends. Also blends well with warming spices for a dark, comforting drink. For tea: 10-20 mins, 200°F, 1-2 tsp roasted root
