Locally grown Tetsukabuto squash, a kabocha x butternut cross with dense, deep-orange flesh. Sweet and nutty with a smooth texture, great for roasting, soups, curries, and pies. The rind is thick, so roast halves cut side down for easier peeling. Excellent keeper, stores for months in a cool, dry spot.
Product tip: Roast first, then scoop for silky soups.
