These organic curry leaves come from a farm in Sri Lanka that our vendor partners at Pinch Spice visited in person. While walking the fields, they were warned about the local wildlife, including king cobras, and told that curry leaves are traditionally used in many ways beyond the kitchen. Whatever their place in local folklore, what we know for sure is how well they perform in cooking.
Dried curry leaves are often dull or dusty, but these retain a noticeably fresher, more aromatic curry flavor. They are not as potent as fresh leaves, but they add real depth when toasted in oil or simmered into dals, rice dishes, soups, and vegetable curries.
These are a solid option when fresh leaves are not available.
