Green Rooibos Tea
$1.90 / oz
less sweet than red rooibos, slightly herbal
Origin: South Africa
~0.4 cup loose-leaf tea/oz
Mountain Rose Herbs’ organic green rooibos tea (Aspalathus linearis) is quite different compared to red rooibos tea. It is not oxidized, contains a slightly herbal aftertaste, and brews light in color which makes it a perfect for those that find red rooibos too sweet. Green rooibos is a hearty tea and once brewed it produces a soft golden color with an amber hue, and warm scent. The floral and lightly perfumed aroma complements the complex, yet soft and palatable taste.
Brew
Fill 1 teaspoon of tea in a cloth tea bag or mesh basket and place in your favorite mug. Pour 8 ounces of boiling water over the tea and allow to steep for 3-5 minutes or until desired strength is reached.
