This sustainable swap is great for dishes, scrubbing vegetables, or household cleaning. It can even be used as a body brush to remove dead skin and improve lymphatic functions.
Ready for new bristles? Just twist off the old bristle head and compost it, then twist on the refill head and you’re ready to scrub again. Keep the handle for longer + reduce waste!
Care
Recommended: Twist to make sure head is fully secure before use. We also recommend occasionally untwisting the head and allowing the inner portion to dry out fully for longevity.
Bamboo handle with stiff plant fiber bristles- sisal (agave plant). Comes with twine loop for hanging.
How to Dispose: Can be demoted to household cleaning then home composted.
Compatibility + transition note
This brush is part of a modular system with screw-on replacement heads. We also carry compatible modular brush system from Zefiro. Replacement heads from both Me Mother Earth and Zefiro are interchangeable and fit the same handle design. These brushes fit the stainless steel modular dish brushes we used to sell from Zero Waste Club, which sadly are no longer available.
Hang to dry in between uses or on a dry towel to allow bristles to drain. Never leave submerged in water as it will wear on the wood causing it to crack or may cause the natural bristles to fall out. Bamboo is naturally antimicrobial, but if you need to clean your brush, clean bristles with vinegar to kill bacteria. Bamboo will naturally patina with age. Brush heads should last 3-6 months.
